We recommend to visit San Gimignano and Volterra, two pearls of the past revealing the authentic charm, a fascinating tale narrated by the cobbled streets and noble palaces, mysterious churches, tower houses and local craftsmen who handed over many generations of works. Do not miss the Devil’s Tower and the Torture’s Museum!
Along the Chianti hills, between sedimentary formations, woods and small rivers you will find Pontedera, Poppi, Siena, Pisa, Colle Val d’Elsa and above all the majestic hilltop towns: Volpaia, Radda, Castellina and Greve. If you have more than a weekend to spend in Tuscany, you can not miss the Cathedral of Siena and a tour to Pisa to unveil the rare beauty of the Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower! Stayed here with our Rick Steves tour and this was a memorable place to visit. The room was very clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. The dinner and breakfasts were outstanding. All the staff we encountered were very caring and professional and really wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful and would recommend a stay here if you need to decompress from the busy world.
This was one of our favorite stays during our vacation of 25 days in Italy. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself afforded beautiful views of Tuscany, was located close to Siena and San Gimignano and the food was terrific. We didn’t have time to use the spa services, but would love to return in the future.
